Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM applies and releases the various clutches in the transmission by actuating the shift solenoids in the solenoid body. Shift Solenoid A (SSA) is a Variable Force Solenoid (VFS).
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| P0750 | SSA | Open circuit in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0753 | SSA Electrical | Open circuit in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0754 | SSA Intermittent | Intermittent circuit in the solenoid or wire harness open, shorted to ground or shorted to power. |
| P0973 | SSA Control Circuit Low | Short to ground in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0974 | SSA Control Circuit High | Open circuit or short to power in the solenoid or wire harness. |

- Connectors damaged or pushed-out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals
- SSA
- Transmission internal wiring harness frame
- PCM
