Rear Coolant Flow Pump: Removal

  1. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Health and Safety Precautions .
  2. With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. Remove the retainers and the shield plate.

  4. Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Detach and remove the rear coolant flow pump from the bracket.
    3. Pinch off the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
    4. Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.
    5. Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.
