Ignition Lock Cylinder Housing: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the SASM. Refer to: Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM) .
  2. If equipped. Release the tabs and remove the PATS transceiver.

  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    1. Insert and turn the ignition key to the I (ACC) position.
    2. Locate the hole and insert the 2mm punch. Use the General Equipment: 2 mm Punch
    3. Press the punch down. Use the General Equipment: 2 mm Punch
    4. Extract the ignition lock.

  4. Cut a slot into the head of the ignition lock cylinder housing bolt.

  5. Remove and discard the ignition lock cylinder housing bolts.

  6. Remove the ignition lock cylinder housing.
