Pinpoint Test R : B1087:83, B1087:86 Or B1087:88
- R1 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE LEFT REAR AND RIGHT REAR POWER WINDOWS FROM THE MASTER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Ignition ON.
- Operate the left rear and right rear power windows from the master window control switch.
Do the power windows operate on both sides?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. No If a DTC is set in the DDM, GO to R2. If a DTC is set in the PDM, GO to R3 - R2 ISOLATE THE MASTER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Master Window Control Switch C535 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Wait 10 seconds.
-
NOTE: DTC U2013:01 or U2013:87 may set and should be ignored.
Using a diagnostic scan tool, repeat the DDM self-test.
Is DTC B1087:83, B1087:86 or B1087:88 retrieved again?
Yes GO to R3 No INSTALL a new master window control switch. - R3 CHECK THE LIN (LOCAL INTERCONNECT NETWORK) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure:
DDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C501A-8 Ground PDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C652A-8 Ground
Is any voltage present?
Yes REPAIR the circuit. No GO to R4 - R4 CHECK THE LIN (LOCAL INTERCONNECT NETWORK) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure:
DDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C501A-8 Ground PDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C652A-8 Ground
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to R5 No REPAIR the circuit. - R5 CHECK THE LIN (LOCAL INTERCONNECT NETWORK) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure:
DDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C501A-8 C728-21 PDM
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C652A-8 C832-21
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes INSTALL a new rear door module for the module in question. CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and REPEAT the self-test. If the concern still exists, GO to R6 No REPAIR the circuit. - Measure:
- R6 CHECK FOR CORRECT FRONT DOOR MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all the DDM or PDM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminal - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the DDM or PDM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) addresses this concern, INSTALL a new front door module for the module in question. Refer to: Front Door Module (FDM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
