Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): Installation

1. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube seal and backing ring with clean transmission fluid.
  Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
2. Position the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube and install the bolt.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
3. Tighten the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube nut.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

1. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler outlet tube seal and backing ring with clean transmission fluid.
  Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
2. Position the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube and install the bolt.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
3. Tighten the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube nut.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
1. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube band seal and backing ring with clean transmission fluid.
  Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
2. Position the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube and install the bolt.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Install the LH fender splash shield and the retainers.

Lower the vehicle. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
1. Position the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube and tighten the nut.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
2. Position the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube and tighten the nut.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

- Install air cleaner outlet pipe and tighten the clamp.
- Connect the quick release couplings to the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS) .
Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
