Removal And Installation: Spring: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
2. WARNING: Coil springs and strut assemblies are compressed under extreme load. Always use a spring compressor for disassembly. Follow procedure instructions carefully and make sure the spring compressor has the correct spring plates or adapters. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
   1. On both sides. Compress the coil spring using the spring compressor. Use the General Equipment: Spring Compressor
   2. On both sides. Remove the coil spring with the spring compressor.
