Second Row Seatbelt Retractor: Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

WARNING: The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
Fold the second row LH side seat.

Remove the loadspace trim panel. Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel LH - Short Wheelbase . Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel LH - Long Wheelbase . Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel RH - Short Wheelbase . Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel RH - Long Wheelbase .
Long Wheelbase
Remove the rear scuff plate trim panel. Refer to: Rear Scuff Plate Trim Panel .
If equipped, remove the rear HVAC air duct.
1. Remove the 2 push pins.
2. Release the rear HVAC air duct from the holding seal.
3. Remove the rear HVAC air duct.

All vehicles
1. Remove the safety belt retractor anchor bolt.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
2. Lift up the D-ring cover and remove the safety belt retractor D-ring bolt.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
3. Remove the bolt and the safety belt retractor.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
