Check
- Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- WARNING: Fuel may remain pressurized in some fuel lines after the Fuel System Pressure Release procedure. Wear safety gloves and a face shield when disconnecting pressure lines to avoid skin and eye contact. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Disconnect the fuel jumper tube-to-fuel rail quick release coupling. Use Special Service Tool: 310-S039 (T90T-9550-S) Disconnect Tool, Spring Lock Coupling.
- Install the special tool between the fuel jumper tube and the fuel rail. Install Special Service Tool: 310-D009 (D95L-7211-A) Fuel Pressure Test Kit.
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

NOTE: Make sure that the system pressure is within specification.NOTE: Carry out a Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) visual inspection for fuel leaks prior to completing the fuel system pressure test.NOTE: After completion of the fuel system pressure test, open the drain valve on the Fuel Pressure Test Kit and release any residual fuel into a suitable container prior to removing the tool.

- Remove the special tool between the fuel supply line and the fuel rail. Remove Special Service Tool: 310-D009 (D95L-7211-A) Fuel Pressure Test Kit.
