Exhaust Manifold: Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Install the exhaust manifold studs.
Torque: 150 lb.in (17 Nm)

Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.

NOTE: Make sure that new components are installed.

NOTE: Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.

Install the exhaust manifold and nuts.

Tighten the nuts. Tighten in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
Torque:

Stage 1: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

Stage 2: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

1. NOTE: Make sure that new components are installed.
  
  Using a new gasket, position back the exhaust system.
2. Install the new nuts.
  Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
