Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): Removal
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS) .

- Disconnect the quick release couplings from the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Loosen the clamp and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
- Remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube bolt. Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube.
- Remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube bolt. Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube.

NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
- Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube.
- Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- If equipped.
- Remove the retainers and the shield reinforcement.
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Remove the retainers and position aside the LH fender splash shield.
- Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube.

NOTE: Make sure that no component falls off during removal.
Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube band seal and backing ring.
- Lower the vehicle. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid cooler outlet tube.
