Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- If equipped, remove the retainers and the front lip seal.
- If equipped, remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .
- Remove the radiator side air deflectors pin-type retainers.
- Remove the radiator side air deflectors.
- Remove the radiator side air deflector retainers.
- Release the tab and remove the radiator side air deflectors.
- Loosely install the cable ties at both sides. Use the General Equipment: Cable Ties
- Remove the front lower crossmember.
- Remove the grommets and the front lower crossmember bracket bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the bolts and the front lower crossmember.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the grommets and the front lower crossmember bracket bolts.
- Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector and detach the wiring retainer.
- Detach the retainers and position aside the hoses.
- Release the cooling fan motor and shroud upper tabs.
- Lift up and remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
