Turbocharger RH: Installation
NOTE:
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- If removed, install the turbocharger stud to the exhaust manifold.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- If removed, install the turbocharger studs to the turbocharger.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Install the new turbocharger gasket.
- Install the turbocharger, then install and hand tighten the new turbocharger nuts.

- Tighten the turbocharger nuts in the following 3 stages and in the sequence shown above.
Torque:Stage 1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm) | Stage 2: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm) | Stage 3: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Tighten the turbocharger nuts in the following 3 stages and in the sequence shown above.
- Install the new sealing washers and a new bolt.

NOTE: Ensure that the banjo fitting/tube are centered relative to the turbocharger end housings and are not riding on one or the other.
Install the turbocharger coolant return tube, then tighten the new bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Install the new sealing washers and a new bolt.

Install the turbocharger coolant supply tube, then tighten the new bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Install the exhaust manifold heat shield, apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads, then install and tighten the new bolts.
Material: Bostik Never-Seez Regular Grade (nickel free) Anti-Seize and Lubricating Compound
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Install the turbocharger oil return tube RH. Refer to: Turbocharger Oil Return Tube RH .
- Install the turbocharger oil supply tube RH. Refer to: Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube RH .
- Install the catalytic converter RH. Refer to: Catalytic Converter RH .
