Brake Booster: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the climate control housing. Refer to: Climate Control Housing .
Remove the steering column. Refer to: Steering Column .
Remove the accelerator pedal. Refer to: Accelerator Pedal .
Remove the brake pedal. Refer to: Brake Pedal .
Remove the bolts and the accelerator pedal bracket.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Remove the screws and the stoplamp switch bracket.

Remove the nuts and position the brake master cylinder aside.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

1. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose.
  Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
2. Disconnect the vacuum sensor electrical connector.

Remove the nuts and then remove brake booster from the passenger side.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
