Brake Fluid Reservoir: Removal

NOTE: If the brake fluid is spilled on any component, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector.

  2. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and using a suction device, remove the brake fluid from the reservoir. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun

  3. Pull upwards and remove the brake fluid reservoir.

  4. NOTE: Install new brake fluid reservoir seals. Lubricate the seals with clean, specified brake fluid.

    Remove and discard the brake fluid reservoir seals.

    Material: Motorcraft® DOT 4 LV High Performance Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid / PM-20 (WSS-M6C65-A2)
