Steering Column Control Module (SCCM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to Health and Safety Precautions . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
2. If installing a new SCCM, connect the diagnostic scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the SCCM.
3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to: Steering Wheel .
4. Remove the steering column shrouds. Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds .
5. • Detach the retainer and disconnect the electrical connectors.
   • Remove the SCCM screws.

     Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

6. 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
   2. Remove the screws.
   3. Remove the SCCM.
