Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The ABS module, hydraulic pump and solenoid valves require an operating voltage between 10 and 17 volts. The parking brake system requires an operating voltage of 9 volts or higher. The ABS module receives this voltage from the BJB. The ABS module has a single ground circuit. The ABS module sets this DTC if there is excessive resistance or an open in one or more of these circuits, a discharged battery or an inoperative charging system.

The SOBDMC monitors fault messages from the ABS module. When the ABS module sets DTC U3003:16, the SOBDMC sets a DTC and illuminates the MIL.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C0564:00 ABS System Voltage Low : No Sub Type Information The SOBDMC sets this DTC when the ABS module sets DTC U3003:16.
U3003:16 Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the voltage supplied to the ABS module falls below 10 volts.
U3003:1C Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Out of Range This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the voltage supplied to the ABS module is below 9 volts for more than one second during a parking brake application request.
U300A:29 Ignition Switch: Signal Invalid This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the voltage signal from the ignition run-start bus in the BJB does not match the voltage message from the BCM.
