Parking Brake Control: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the floor console. Refer to: Floor Console - Vehicles With: Center Armrest .
  2. Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.

  3. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  4. Detach the front parking brake cable from the equalizer.

  5. NOTE: During installation, make sure the cable seal is fully seated.

    Remove the parking brake control.

    1. Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector.
    2. Remove the bolts.

      Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

    3. Detach the cable seal and remove the parking brake control.
