Overhead Console: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. 1.

    WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, refer to Safety Warnings in Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. 2.

    Open the sun glasses bin.

    NOTE: Sun glasses bin shown removed for clarity.

    Using a screwdriver, pry both corners of the switch bezel down. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

  1. 4.

    Using a screwdriver, push inward on both sides on the switch panel inner tabs to release the switch panel. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

  1. 5.

    Remove the switch panel.

  1. 6.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the microphone.

  1. 7.

    If equipped. Remove the torx screws.

  1. 8.

    Using a suitable tool release the snap tabs facing the rear of vehicle on both sides.

    Using a suitable tool release the side snap tabs on both sides.

  1. 10.

    Rotate the overhead console assembly downward and pull rearward to release the clip tabs and remove the overhead console assembly.

  1. 11.

    Remove the screws and the overhead console bracket.
