In-Vehicle Crossbeam: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- 1.WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, refer to Safety Warnings in General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
- 5.
Remove the instrument panel upper section. Refer to: Instrument Panel Upper Section .
- 6.
Remove both front doors. Refer to: Front Door .
- 12.
- Disconnect the electric connectors and detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Remove the screws and the air plenum bezel.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 14.NOTE: To avoid damaging the in-vehicle cross beam, an assistant is required when carrying out the following steps.NOTE: Remove the bolts from one side completely and support the in-vehicle cross beam before removing the bolts from the opposite sideNOTE: Make sure that all electrical connectors and wiring are not hindered before removing the in-vehicle cross beam or damage to the components may occur.
With the help of an assistant. Remove the bolts and the in-vehicle crossbeam from the vehicle.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
