Transmission Fluid Level Check

Materials 

• 1.
  
  With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

• 2.
  
  Remove Engine Undershield - if equipped.

• 3.
  
  

  • 1.
    
    If equipped.Release the retainers and position aside the gearshift housing assembly.

  • 2.
    
    Remove the gearshift cable access cover.

  Remove the transmission fill plug.

• 5.
  
  Add or remove transmission fluid as necessary.

  Material: Motorcraft ® Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid / XT-M5-QS (WSD-M2C200-C)

  Install the transmission fill plug.

  Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

    Install the gearshift cable access cover.

    If equipped. Install the gearshift housing assembly.
