Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Differential: Disassembly

- 1.
Remove the differential pinions.- Remove and discard the differential pinion shaft snap ring.
- Remove the differential pinion shaft.
- Rotate and remove the differential pinion gears.
- Rotate and remove the differential pinion gears.
- Remove the differential pinion gear case lining.
- 3.
Remove the differential ring gear bolts as follows:- Loosen the 3 differential bolts four turns.
- Remove and discard the 2 differential bolts.
- Remove and save the 3 differential bolts.
- 4.
Using a hammer, lightly tap the 3 remaining differential bolts, remove and discard the differential bolts and remove the differential ring gear.

Remove the bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 205-479 Installer, Drive Pinion Flange. Use the General Equipment: Bearing SeparatorUse the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
- 6.
