Electric Coolant Pump: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

NOTE: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.

Loosen the pressure relief cap.

Torque: 2turn(s)

  Using general tools, clamp the coolant hoses. Disconnect the electrical connector. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)

  Release the hose clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
1. 3.
  
  Remove the bolt and the electric coolant pump.
  Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
