Cylinder Block Thermostat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1.

Remove the generator. Refer to: Generator - 1.0L EcoBoost (90kW/120PS) .

2.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

3.

Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

4.

Remove the bolts and the cylinder block thermostat.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
