Coolant Pump: Removal

  1. 1.

    With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

  1. 2.

    Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

  1. 3.

    If equipped with FEAD shield.
    • Disconnect the vent tube.
    • Loosen the clamps and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.

    1. 1.

      If equipped with FEAD shield. Remove the bolt and the support bracket. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC tube.

    If equipped. Remove the bolts and the accessory drive shield.

  1. 6.

    Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts. Loosen: 2 turn(s)

  1. 7.

    Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .

  1. 8.

    Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.

    • Remove the bolts and the coolant pump bracket.
    • Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.
