Selector Mechanism: Removal

1.

Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.0L EcoBoost (90kW/120PS)/1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma .

Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .

  Detach the retainers and position aside the wiring harness.
- 2.
  
  Remove the nuts and remove the battery tray support bracket from the transmission support insulator.
- 3.
  
  Detach the retainers.
- 4.
  
  Slide and position aside the wiring harness.

4.
- Disconnect the gearshift cable ends from the ball studs of the gearshift lever.
- Slide the lock sleeve and remove the gearshift cables from the gearshift lever base.

  Position the selector mechanism in N position.
- 2.
  
  Remove the selector mechanism bolts.

NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.
