NOTE: If DTC U0100:00 sets in the IPC, other observable symptoms can be an inoperative speedometer, tachometer, temperature gauge or odometer.

If the transmission gear position or transmission gear display status message is missing from the PCM for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the PRNDL and SelectShift ® display to the last indication display based on the last message received.

If the transmission gear position or transmission gear display status message is missing from the PCM for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0100:00 and defaults the PRNDL display to no selected position.

P1706:00	High Vehicle Speed Observed In Park: No Sub Type Information	A continuous memory DTC that sets if the IPC detects a short to ground on the park detect switch input, pulling the circuit low with a VSS input over 16 km/h (10 mph), indicating that the vehicle is in motion.
