Pinpoint Test AJ : The Engine Oil Pressure, Engine Oil Temperature Or Transmission Temperature Display Is Inoperative

  1. AJ1 VERIFY THE IPC IS SET TO THE GAUGE DISPLAY SCREEN

    • Ignition ON.
    • NOTE: The IPC and message center navigation can be found in the Owner's Literature.

      Using the message center controls, make sure the IPC is set to the gauge display screen.

    Is the IPC set to the gauge display screen? 

    Yes  GO to  AJ2.
    No  The engine oil pressure, engine oil temperature or transmission temperature display is operating correctly. The IPC was not set to the correct display screen.

  2. AJ2 PERFORM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.

    Are any DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
    No  GO to  AJ3.

  3. AJ3 PERFORM THE IPC SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
    No
