Pinpoint Test AJ : The Engine Oil Pressure, Engine Oil Temperature Or Transmission Temperature Display Is Inoperative: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Engine Oil Pressure Display, Engine Oil Temperature Display or Transmission Temperature Display. Refer to Information And Message Center .

Engine Oil Pressure Gauge 

If the engine oil pressure warning indicator message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the engine oil pressure display to the last indication state, based upon the last message received. If the engine oil pressure warning indicator message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the engine oil pressure display to 0 psi.

Engine Oil Temperature Gauge 

If the engine oil temperature message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the engine oil temperature display to the last indication state, based upon the last message received. If the engine oil temperature message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the engine oil temperature display to the cold position.

Transmission Temperature Gauge 

If the transmission fluid temperature message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the transmission temperature display to the last indication state, based upon the last message received. If the transmission fluid temperature message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the transmission temperature display to the full cold position.
