Turbocharger - LH: Removal
NOTE:
Whenever turbocharger air intake system components are removed, always cover open ports to protect from debris. It is important that no foreign material enter the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes are susceptible to damage from even small particles. All components should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, prior to installation or reassembly.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist, refer to Jacking and Lifting .
- 3.
Drain the cooling system, refer to Engine Cooling .
- 6.
Remove the LF tire, refer to Wheels and Tires .
- 7.
Remove the LF Fender Splash Shield, refer to Front End Body Panels .
- 8.
Remove the Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe, refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .

Disconnect the PCV pressure sensor electric connector.
- 2.
Disconnect the PCV tube quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube, refer to Fuel System General Information .

Disconnect the quick connect couplings and disconnect the turbocharger bypass tube, refer to Fuel System General Information .

Release the turbocharger inlet tube from the turbocharger inlet tube bracket grommet.
- 2.
Loosen the turbocharger inlet tube clamp and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.

Release the turbocharger outlet tube from the retaining clamp and release the turbocharger outlet tube from the turbocharger outlet tube bracket grommet. Loosen the turbocharger outlet tube clamp and position the turbocharger outlet tube aside.
- 14.NOTE: Use a 3/8" Jiffy-Tite ® quick disconnect tool, close the tool around the tube, press the tool into the fitting and rotate until the tool is fully seated into the fitting.
Disconnect the turbocharger coolant return tube at the turbocharger and position the turbocharger coolant return tube up out of the way.

Remove and discard the turbocharger mounting bolts, remove the turbocharger coolant supply tube from the block fitting while removing the turbocharger and position the turbocharger aside.
- 20.NOTE: Use a 3/8" Jiffy-Tite ® quick disconnect tool, close the tool around the tube, press the tool into the fitting and rotate until the tool is fully seated into the fitting.
Disconnect the turbocharger coolant supply tube from the turbocharger fitting and remove the turbocharger coolant supply tube. Remove the turbocharger.

Remove and discard the turbocharger exhaust adapter studbolts and then remove the turbocharger exhaust adapter.
