Power Liftgate Warning Chime

The power liftgate chime is used to alert the driver of the status of the power liftgate system. The chimes indicate a close request, obstacle detection, memory feedback, a precondition change during operation, a rejected request, and a system error state. There are 4 different chimes used to indicate these various conditions as requested by the RGTM. Two chimes sound once and 2 chimes sound continuously.

The power liftgate chime sounds through the front speakers. The IPC receives the power liftgate chime request from the GWM over the HS-CAN3. The GWM receives the power liftgate chime request from the RGTM over the MS-CAN.

When a chime request is received, the IPC sends the IPC chime request message to the ACM and the audio DSP to sound the chime.
