Fuel Tank Isolation Valve: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking And Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the fuel tank isolation valve. Refer to: Fuel Tank Isolation Valve .
  3. NOTE: Clean the fuel vapor vent valve electrical connector and the immediate surrounding area of any dirt or foreign material.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    3. Slide the EVAP fuel vapor vent valve off the retainer bracket and remove the fuel vapor vent valve.
