Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation And Component Description: Startup-Shutdown

The IPC provides a startup/shutdown sequence also known as a welcome/farewell strategy. When the BCM receives a RKE request or a door ajar (open) message, the IPC illuminates the RH and emotive screen background, while gradually adding a butterfly to the screen. When the ignition is in RUN or START, the message center proves out and defaults to normal operation. The IPC illuminates all LED indicators for a predetermined time (prove-out).
