Rear Brake Caliper Anchor Plate: Removal

NOTE: Steps in the removal procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel And Tire .
  2. Remove the brake caliper spring.

  3. NOTE: Do not pry in the caliper sight hole to retract the pistons as this can damage the pistons and boots.
    NOTE: Do not allow the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.

    1. Remove the caps.
    2. Remove the brake caliper guide pin bolts.

      Torque: 15 lb.ft (21 Nm)

    3. Postion aside the brake caliper.

  4. Remove the brake pads.

  5. Remove the bolts and the brake caliper anchor plate.

    Torque: 52 lb.ft (70 Nm)
