- Remove the transmission selector lever.Refer to: Selector Lever Assembly .
- Remove the defrost vent trim panel.Refer to: Defrost Vent Trim Panel .

Torque: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)
- Remove the driver lower airbag.Refer to: Driver Knee Airbag .
- Remove the steering column.Refer to: Steering Column .
- Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)
- Torque: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)

- Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
- Torque: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that all electrical connectors and wiring are not hindered before removing the upper section or damage to the components may occur.NOTE: Install all the bolts finger tight before final tightening.
Remove the 15 bolts and the instrument panel upper section.
Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
