Message Center Displays

Compass Display (With Touchscreen Audio) 

The compass can be displayed as a virtual compass along with the 1 or 2 character display in the RH infotainment display screen. The IPC receives the compass direction from the APIM over the I-CAN.

Compass Display (Without Touchscreen Audio) 

The compass can be displayed as a virtual compass along with the 1 or 2 character display in the RH infotainment display screen. The IPC receives the GPS compass direction from the GPSM over the MS-CAN.

Energy Coach Message Center Display 

The IPC provides a message center display to provide energy coaching information indicating driving performance related to vehicle acceleration, braking, and vehicle cruising speed. The display uses 2 unique color appearances to indicate the energy conservation performance of the driver. Blue indicates good and orange indicates areas for improvement.

The IPC receives the energy coaching data from the GWM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). The GWM receives the energy coaching data from the SOBDMC over the HEV - CAN.

Manage Electric Vehicle (EV) Display 

The IPC provides the electric vehicle (EV) message center display to indicate the current electric vehicle mode to the driver. The vehicle modes are:

Each mode provides unique information, displays and RTT indiators. Refer to the Owner's Literature for full details of the electric vehicle (EV) displays and functionality.

The IPC uses 2 messaged inputs to control the electric vehicle (EV) displays. The IPC receives the hybrid mode status display and the hybrid mode message request messages from the GWM over the I-CAN. The GWM receives the hybrid mode status display and the hybrid mode message request messages from the SOBDMC over the HEV - CAN.

Odometer Display 

The IPC receives the odometer count message from the GWM over the MS-CAN. The GWM receives the odometer count from the PCM over the HEV - CAN. The IPC monitors the wheel count input from the BCM and commands the odometer with a digital display in the message center.
