Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description: Tachometer

The tachometer is an analog gauge on the base and optional mid-level IPC. The temperature gauge is a virtual gauge on the optional high-level IPC.

The IPC receives the engine rpm data message from the GWM over the High Speed Controller Area Network 3 (HS3-CAN). The GWM receives the engine rpm data message from the PCM over the High Speed Controller Area Network 1 (HS1-CAN).
