Removal And Installation: Hood: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Open Hood

  2. On both sides.

    Index-mark the hood hinge location to aid in hood installation.

    3. NOTE: An assistant is necessary for the support and removal of the hood.
  3. Remove the nuts and the hood.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

    4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
  4. Remove the pin-type retainers and the hood insulation.
