Rear Seat Backrest: Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
The 40 percent backrest must be removed to allow removal of the 60 percent backrest.
All backrests
- 1.
Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to: Rear Seat Cushion .
- 2.

Lift the rear seat latch release handle.
- 2.
Lower the rear seat backrest.
- 1.
- 3.
If equipped with heated seats. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.
- 4.

Lower the backrest.
- 2.
Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.
- 3.
Remove the 40 percent seat backrest.
- 1.
60 percent backrest
- 5.
If equipped with conventional safety belts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center safety belt aside.Torque
: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- 6.
If equipped with inflatable safety belts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center safety belt aside.Torque
: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

Lift the rear seat latch release handle.
- 2.
Lower the rear seat backrest.

- 8.
If equipped with heated seats. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connectors.
- 9.

Lower the backrest.
- 2.
Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.

Remove the 60 percent seat backrest.
