Pinpoint Test B : The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Does Not Provide Feedback When Activated: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system only provides feedback when the vehicle speed is above 64 km/h (40 mph) and lane markings are detected on at least one side of the vehicle by the IPMA. REFER to: Lane Departure Warning - System Operation and Component Description .

Possible Sources 

• Communication concern
• IPMA concern
• PSCM

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks 

• Verify that Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system turns on and the display lines in the IPC turn green when the system is active and available. If the lines do NOT turn green, GO to Pinpoint Test A
