Pinpoint Test AE : U0232:00
- AE1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AE2 No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AE2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the SODL pass the network test?
Yes GO to AE3 No REFER to: Communications Network . - AE3 CHECK FOR SODL (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE LH) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the SODL self-test.
Are any voltage related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present?
Yes REFER to: Blind Spot Information System . No GO to AE4 - AE4 RECHECK THE DDM (DRIVER DOOR MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during PMI or the PMI may not have been performed.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the DDM self-test.
Is DTC U0232:00 still present?
Yes GO to AE5 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AE5 CHECK FOR DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) U0232 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs) from all modules.
Is DTC U0232 set in other modules?
Yes INSTALL a new SODL. REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module . No INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to: Driver Door Module (DDM) .
