Hazard Message Center Indicator Display

The IPC provides a hazard message center indicator in the form of a triangle to inform the driver that a transmission hazard may exist and a powertrain shutdown may be imminent or may have already occurred. The IPC uses the battery warning indicator request message and the HEV service required display request to control the hazard message center indicator.

The IPC receives the battery and transmission messages from the GWM over the High Speed Controller Area Network 3 (HS3-CAN).

The GWM receives the HEV service required display request message from the SOBDMC over the High Speed Controller Area Network 1 (HS1-CAN).

The GWM receives the battery warning indicator request message from the BECM over the High Speed Controller Area Network 1 (HS1-CAN).
