Component Description: PAM

The Parking Aid Module (PAM) calculates and reports via audible output the distance between the rear of the vehicle and an object. The PAM is capable of setting and storing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the parking aid when a fault is detected. The parking aid system is disabled whenever the PAM detects a fault. Faults detected by other network modules associated with the parking aid system can also result in the parking aid being disabled.
