Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud: Removal

1.

Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .

2.

Remove the engine appearance cover.

- 1.
  
  Disconnect the resonator tube.
- 2.
  
  Release the clamp.
- 3.
  
  Detach the grommet.
- 4.
  
  Remove the resonator assembly.
- 5.
  
  Loosen the clamp.
  Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- 6.
  
  Position aside the CAC outlet pipe.

- 1.
  
  Detach the wiring harness retainer and release the tabs.
- 2.
  
  Position aside the cooling fan motor and shroud assembly.

5.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

6.

Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

- 1.
  
  Remove the bolt.
  Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connector and the vent tube.
- Loosen the clamp and remove the CAC inlet pipe.

Detach the wiring harness retainers and disconnect the electrical connector.

  Release the tabs.
- 2.
  
  Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
