Input Shaft Seal: Removal

Remove the clutch slave cylinder. Refer to: Clutch Slave Cylinder - 5-Speed Manual Transmission - B5/IB5 .
- 2.NOTE: Be careful not to drive the punch too deep or damage to the front input shaft bearing can occur.
Pierce the input shaft seal with a punch. Use the General Equipment: Center Punch
- 3.NOTE: Be careful not to drive the screw too deep or damage to the front input shaft bearing can occur.
Install a 2.5 x 15 mm self-tapping screw into the hole and remove the seal by pulling on the screw with a pair of pliers.
