Halfshaft Seal RH: Installation

- 1.NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.
Visually check the mating faces are clean and free from corrosion and foreign material.
- 2.
Using the special tool install the RH halfshaft seal. Use Special Service Tool: 205-115A (205-115) Installer, Drive Pinion Seal.
- 3.NOTE: Do not fully install the shaft at this time.
- Using part: AA5P-4N206-A.
- Using the seal protector, install the RH halfshaft in the transmission. Remove the seal protector.
- 4.NOTE: Insert the intermediate shaft until the intermediate shaft bearing is centered in the concave groove of the intermediate shaft bearing bracket.
Install the RH halfshaft.

Tighten:Install the new halfshaft bearing strap and nuts.Torque:
Stage 1: Lower nut:: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
Stage 2: Upper nut:: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
Stage 3: Lower nut:: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Install the balljoint protector clip. Position the ball joint into the wheel knuckle and install the new balljoint bolt and nut.Torque: 38 lb.ft (52 Nm)
- 8.
Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- 9.
Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
