- 3.NOTE: Be sure the middle indented splines in the selector ring align with the 3 synchronizer locks or the selector ring will rest on the shift fork causing excessive wear.NOTE: Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.

Install the 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer assembly.

Install the 3rd and 4th gear synchronizer assembly.

Install the bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 205-479 Installer, Drive Pinion Flange. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
