Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Differential: Assembly

NOTE:
Use vise jaw protectors.

Install the differential ring gear and the 3 bolts saved during disassembly.Torque: 77 lb.ft (105 Nm)
- 3.NOTE: Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Install 8 new differential ring gear bolts.
Torque: 77 lb.ft (105 Nm)

Install the differential pinion gear case lining.
- 2.
Install the differential pinion gears.
- 3.
Install the differential pinion gears.
- 4.
Install the differential pinion shaft.
- 5.NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.
Install the differential pinion shaft snap ring.
- 1.
- 5.NOTE: Align the alignment tab with the indention on the differential carrier.
Install the tone ring. Pry the 2 tabs up past the bearing seat surface so that the bearing holds the tone ring in place after it is installed.

Using the special tools, install the differential bearing.- 1.NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.
