Fuel Tank Filler Pipe: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- 2.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- 4.
Remove the rear wheel on the left-hand side. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- 8.NOTE: Some residual fuel may remain in the fuel tank filler pipe. Carefully drain any residual fuel into a suitable container.
- Clamp off fuel filler pipe hose, release the clamp and position aside the filler pipe hose.Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
- Release the clamp and position aside the vapor tube.
- Remove the bolt.
Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
