Coolant Pump: Removal

- 1.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- 5.
Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .
- 6.NOTE: Cover the A/C compressor belt to prevent coolant contamination of the belt.
Completely cover the A/C compressor belt with waterproof plastic.
- 7.
Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .
- 9.
- Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the heater outlet tube.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the lower degas bottle hose from the heater outlet tube.
- 11.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
- Remove the bolt and the heater outlet tube.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
