Engine Mount RH: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

  1. 1.

    NOTE: If a new RH engine mount is installed, remove the 2 studs prior to positioning the assembly in the vehicle.

    Install the RH engine mount and the new bolts.

    Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)

  1. 2.

    Using the special tool, lower the engine to the installed position. Use Special Service Tool: 303-F070 Support Bar, Engine.

  1. 3.

    NOTE: Only use hand tools when installing the engine mount stud bolts or damage to the engine mount can occur.

    Install the new RH engine mount stud bolts.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  1. 4.

    NOTE: Only use hand tools when installing the engine mount nuts or damage to the engine mount can occur.

    Install the new RH engine mount nuts.

    Torque: 111 lb.ft (150 Nm)

  1. 5.

    NOTE: Only use hand tools when tightening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.

    Install the new LH engine mount through bolt.

    Torque: 258 lb.ft (350 Nm)

  1. 6.

    NOTE: Only use hand tools when installing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.

    Tighten the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

    Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)

  1. 7.

    • Position the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe and install the new bolts.
    • Tighten the inner exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolt.

      Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)

    • Tighten the outer exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolt.

      Torque: 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)

  1. 8.

    Install the following items:
    1. If equipped. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .
    2. Refer to: Starter Motor .

  1. 9.

    Remove Special Service Tool: 303-F070 Support Bar, Engine.

  1. 10.

    Remove and discard the exhaust manifold nut. Remove Special Service Tool: 303-D099 (D94T-6000-C) Lifting Bracket, Engine.

  1. 11.

    Remove and discard the exhaust manifold stud.

  1. 12.

    Install a new exhaust manifold stud.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  1. 13.

    Install a new exhaust manifold nut.

    Torque:

    Stage 1: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

    Stage 2: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)

  1. 14.

    Attach the heater hose retainer.

  1. 15.

    Install the A/C compressor. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT .

  1. 16.

    If equipped, install the skid plate and bolts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  1. 17.

    If equipped, install the underbody shield and fasteners.

    Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

  1. 18.

    If equipped, install the underbody shield and fasteners.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  1. 19.

    Install the radiator top shield and fasteners.

  1. 20.

    NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

      Position the hood shock and attach.

    1. 2.

      Install the clip.

  1. 21.

    Position the hood and install the nuts.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  1. 22.

    Start engine and check exhaust system for leaks.
